The Workforce Investment Council of Clackamas
County (WICCO) serves as an advocate for businesses in workforce
development within Clackamas County. The council has a 34-member
board of directors, with a majority from private industry,
and represents an effective partnership between businesses
and workforce service agencies. It oversees a responsive
one-stop workforce system giving the businesses and workforce
easy access to training and support services.

WICCO:
- Oversees the completion of a customer
driven one stop workforce delivery system in Clackamas County
- Directs the implementation of comprehensive
strategies for services to youth with special emphasis on
the linkage between business and education.
- Develops and implements a strategic plan.
- Promotes business involvement in the workforce
system and assist business in meeting their hiring needs.
- Coordinates workforce activities
with economic development and educational activities in
Clackamas County communities.
