INFORMATION FOR INSTRUCTORS
The Testing Center is available to proctor exams that your students have missed and need to make-up, and exams for distance learning classes.
Here are some important things to keep in mind:
-
Each test that you need us to proctor must have its own Proctor Test Instructions sheet for each student. This coversheet tells us everything we need to know to proctor the test the way you want it proctored, and helps us minimize confusion and chaos. Please remember to list all resources that students are allowed to use (formulas, periodic tables, books, notes). If the test is online, please put the test password on each coversheet. Please do not send us one coversheet with a roster attached.
- Students are required to present photo ID each time they test.
-
The Testing Center does not schedule appointments for CCC students testing under standard conditions (students testing with accommodations will need to contact the testing center for an appointment). We become quite busy during midterms and finals, so please advise your students to account for the possibility of a wait. Our General Testing Schedule is a great resource for students to help ensure that they arrive with enough time to complete their test before closing.
- The testing center cannot guarantee a quiet testing environment equal to that which is offered in a classroom. In our center, students are coming in and out of the testing room as they begin and finish their tests. We do our best to keep the environment quiet, but doors are opening and closing and low-level talking may be necessary for troubleshooting if a computer-based test crashes, etc. If your student has problems with distraction, the disability resource center (x2324) can approve the use of our private room and help with other resources on campus.
