Tri-City Alternative Program (TCAP)

The Tri-City Alternative Program (TCAP) is a comprehensive educational program serving teens between the ages of 15 & 17 years old. The instruction at TCAP addresses and develops the following: holistic learning, individual learning styles, communication skills, personal accountability, work and study skills, and work readiness.

Eligibility

Tri-City Alternative Program is a transition program. We serve high school students who are:

  • 15 to 17 years of age
  • unlikely to graduate with their class because of lack of credits or issues with behavior or attendance
  • temporarily suspended or expelled from their high schools
  • in need of smaller class size with more one-on-one assistance
  • in need of an alternative setting

Program Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Thursday); 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (Friday)
Office Hours: 8:00 - 3:00 (Monday-Thursday), 8:00 - 12:00 (Friday)
Fee: $50 per term with referral

Procedure for Entry

  • Obtain a signed referral from resident high school
  • Call for an intake-interview appointment to determine eligibility and placement
  • Obtain a release from compulsory attendance if under 18 and not referred from a contracting district
