General Educational Development (GED)

GED classes in the day/evening are designed to prepare busy adults for the GED tests. Each three hour class will include some study time and some direct instruction time. Classes are twice a week.

First steps

  • Call (503) 657-6958 extension 2595 for the next orientation time.
  • Orientation includes assessment testing, program information and an interview.
  • If you are under 18 you must have a release/referral from your district high school. Please call Barbara Simington, extension 2595, at Clackamas Community College, Dye Learning Center Administrative Office before coming to orientation.

Fees

Tuition for the daytime and afternoon classes (4 days a week) is $55, tuition for the evening class (2 evenings a week) is $50. Financial hardship should not restrict enrollment. Ask a staff member at Orientation about Department Hardship Grants to pay part of the tuition. Remember to budget the $100 testing fee to qualify to start testing.
