When applying for the 2011-2012 MA program, please note: you must have COMPLETED your Writing and Speech requirements PRIOR to application. 2011-12 applications will be available On-Line in mid-January, 2011; applications will then be accepted in the Registrar's office in Rook Hall on the OC campus.

Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant Program at Clackamas Community College is accredited  by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP). The program is designed to prepare students for entry level positions in the ambulatory care setting. The goal of the Clackamas Community College Medical Assistant Program is to graduate students that have demonstrated competencies in administrative and clinical practices as well as demonstrated work ethics and professional values consistent with that of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

The program consists of three terms of full time study. However, the program may be completed on a part time basis. Students are involved in an administrative and clinical practicum in the ambulatory care setting in the community. Students are placed in a variety of settings which may include family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pulmonology, urology, neurology, and dermatology.
