What Our Students Say

Jasmine

" There are three point that I like in this college.
First, the class size is small. The teachers can pay attention to all the students and we can make friends easily. Second, there are many students who come from many other countries. And, there are only a few Japanease students, so I have many oppotunities to speak English. Last, there are good equipments and excellent teachers. We can study many kinds of teaching materials out of the class. If we have a question, we can ask our teachers anytime we want. I can enjoy studying English here!
"
Yasuko Minemura - Japan

"I want to tell new students that all of the instructors that I have met here are great.  I enjoy studying here because it’s fun and a good environment for studying.  I’ve made a lot of friends here. I hope everyone can have the same experience as me."

"I studied English in the Program for Intensive English at Clackamas Community College. It was the best choice to come to CCC because all of the instructors are very friendly and helpful. Whenever students have questions, the instructors are always willing to help them out and are lavish with help. Now, I am taking the prerequisite classes for the nursing program at CCC, and through the process, I have met a number of great instructors and friends and have established great relationships with them. CCC is like a family and has everything that I need to study. "
Junta Chinen - Japan

"Hi, I am Trinh. I am a student of Clackamas Community College (CCC). For me, CCC is a wonderful school. When I first came to school, I was nervous because I did not know anything, and my English was poor; however, my teachers helped me adjust new environment quickly. CCC provides facilities and equipment to support my studying. I can use free computers and borrow books at the library. Furthermore, I can ask for advice and participate in clubs at the Community Center. Now, I feel comfortable to study and live here. I am enjoying student life."

"The lecturers are really good; plus, the advisors and counselors really go out of their way to ensure that a student is welcome. The equipment is also very good and the sports department is so good that it is actually one of the best in the Northwest."

Myque Obiero - Kenya

“I like the environment, and since the college is small, we can meet a lot of people. The classes are good and the teachers, too.”

Schiella Yurie Wakasugui de Souza - Brazil

“I like meeting different people from all over the world. In addition, CCC has a nice campus that I enjoy. The teachers are very nice, also, and it was fun learning English.”
Emy Fagherazzi - Italy

“I decided to come here because CCC has a lot of majors and the Program for Intensive English is good. And the most important thing is that there are almost no Japanese in my ESL classes. That helps me because I have to speak English a lot. I’m having a great time here.”
Kazuto Amemiya - Japan

“There are so many nice teachers and friends. I think that CCC is a nice place for international students to study.”
Sung Hong - Korea

"Since I came to the U.S. to study English, I did not want to speak Japanese very much. It was good for me to study at CCC because there are not so many Japanese people, unlike schools in downtown Portland. My speaking skill improved a lot, and they have a good ESL program. While I was staying here, I also took some regular classes and enjoyed them very much. And teachers and friends are so nice to me that I enjoyed international student life."

Masahiro Kitagawa - Japan
