The Landscape Club at CCC focuses its attention on the annual Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Student Career Days competition, which is held in March. In this national competition, held at a different location each year, students from many different community colleges and universities compete in events focusing on skills of importance to the landscaping industry. The club has two or more meetings monthly during fall, winter, and spring terms. Dates and times of meetings are posted on the Horticulture bulletin board located in Clairmont Hall, next to C120.
Club activities center on increasing members' knowledge in the diverse segments of horticulture. Members attend conferences, trade shows, tour nurseries and gardens, and host service activities.
Club members assist in scholarship fund-raising plant sales during the school year. Members develop leadership skills through their work managing projects, serving as club officers, and chairing committees.
