Landscape Club

The Landscape Club at CCC focuses its attention on the annual Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Student Career Days competition, which is held in March. In this national competition, held at a different location each year, students from many different community colleges and universities compete in events focusing on skills of importance to the landscaping industry. Who can join?

Any CCC Horticulture student with an interest in landscaping is welcome to join.

What does the club do?

Club activities center on fundraising for and participation in the PLANET Student Career Days.

Club members increase their knowledge in specific areas of landscaping so they may successfully compete in contests at the national competition.

Horticulture Club

Who can join?

Any currently enrolled Horticulture student or graduate of the CCC Horticulture certificate or degree programs at Clackamas Community College..

How do I join?

Attend one of our meetings and become an active member.

When does the club meet?

The club has two or more meetings monthly during fall, winter, and spring terms. Dates and times of meetings are posted on the Horticulture bulletin board located in Clairmont Hall, next to C120.

What does the club do?

Club activities center on increasing members' knowledge in the diverse segments of horticulture. Members attend conferences, trade shows, tour nurseries and gardens, and host service activities.

Club members assist in scholarship fund-raising plant sales during the school year.
Members develop leadership skills through their work managing projects, serving as club officers, and chairing committees.
