2006-2007 Clackamas Community College Scholarships
Please be aware that scholarship applications
are accepted only during the open enrollment periods. To be eligibile for all
the CCC scholarships, you must plan to enroll for at least six credits at CCC.
Majority of these scholarships are
open during the first open enrollment period which will start on January 23,
2006 and ends on March 13, 2006.
Dick Andrews Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, 2.5 GPA, Hispanic
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
full time. Submit CCC placement test scores and an educational plan with scholarship
application. Must have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA. All qualifications
being equal, preference will be given to Hispanic applicants.
Mary G. Baur Scholarship
- All Majors, 2.5 GPA
- Tuition assistance scholarship(s)
- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
for and maintain at least six credit hours. Must have and maintain a cumulative
2.5 GPA.
Evelyn Collins Service to Community Internship
- All Majors, 2.5 GPA
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Based on the program’s mission, “To Build Outstanding Leaders with a Lifetime Dedication to Giving Back Service to the Community.” This program is designed to place a student in the Grace Collins Center in Northeast Portland.
- Requirements: To be eligible, an intern must complete nine
credit hours per term, maintain a 2.5 GPA and be available to work a minimum
of 50 hours per term. Award will be made upon successful completion of all
requirements. Selections will be made on the basis of a 300-500 word essay
describing your desire to serve your community. Final selection determined
by an interview.
Service to Community Internships

- Based on the program’s mission, “To Build Outstanding Leaders with a Lifetime Dedication to Giving Back Service to the Community.” This program is designed to place students in a Clackamas County non-profit agency for three terms.
- Requirements: To be eligible, interns must complete nine
credit hours per term, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and be available to work a minimum
of 50 hours per term. Awards will be made upon successful completion of all
requirements. Selections will be made on the basis of a 300-500 word essay
describing your desire to serve your community. Final selection determined
by an interview.
Ruth Rippey Endowed Scholarship
- All Majors, Returning Students
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: Returning students who are current residents
of Clackamas County. Must plan to enroll for at least six credit hours. Preference
will be given to single or working parents.
New Pioneer Scholarship
- All Majors, Special Circumstances
- Tuition assistance scholarship(s)
- Requirements: New or returning students who are facing physical, emotional, or social challenges, and who plan to enroll for and maintain at least six credit hours. One of the letters of recommendation submitted must be from a professional (counselor, social worker, probation officer, teacher, etc.) who can explain the challenge(s).

William C. & Marjory N. Gregory Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, Clackamas County Residents, 3.0 GPA, Extra-curricular activities

- Requirements: New or returning students who are current
residents of Clackamas County and who plan to enroll full time. Must have
and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. All qualifications being equal, preference
will be given to applicants involved in extra-curricular activities in school,
community and/or church.
Jane Tomlin Estacada Community Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, Estacada Residents, Estacada High School Graduates
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: New or returning students who are current
residents of Estacada or are Estacada High School graduates. Must plan to
enroll for and maintain at least nine credit hours.
New Pioneer: First-In-Family Scholarship

- Requirements: New or returning students who are first in

Don Osborne Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, Oregon City High School Graduates

- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
for and maintain at least six credit hours. All qualifications being equal,
preference will be given to Oregon City High School graduates who were active
in the junior golf program or who have physical or learning disabilities.
Mike Montgomery Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, Returning CCC Students, 3.0 GPA, CCC Forensic, CCC Athletes, CCC Student Government
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: Oregon high school graduates who have earned
or will earn at least 45 credit hours by spring term, 2004 and who plan to
enroll full time. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. All qualifications
being equal, preference will be given to applicants who are involved in CCC
forensics, athletics, student government activities and/or community activities.
President’s Scholarship for Excellence
- All Majors, Returning Students, 3.25 GPA
- Two @ $2,000 each tuition and/or fee/book scholarships
- Requirements: Returning student who have earned or will
earn at least 45 credit hours by spring term, 2004, preferably at CCC. Must
have and maintain a cumulative 3.25 GPA and plan to enroll full time. Students
must demonstrate superior academic achievements, leadership qualities, strong
character, and involvement in school or community activities.
President’s Scholarship for Excellence: Honors
- All Majors, Returning Students, 3.25 GPA, Honors Program
- Two @ $2,000 each tuition and/or fee/book scholarships
- Requirements: Returning student who have earned or will
earn at least 45 credit hours from the Honors program by spring term, 2004,
preferably at CCC. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.25 GPA and plan to
enroll full time. Students must demonstrate superior academic achievements,
leadership qualities, strong character, and involvement in school or community
activities.
Clackamas Rotary Scholarship
- All Majors, Returning Students, Clackamas County Residents, 2.5 GPA

- Requirements: Returning CCC students who have earned
or will earn 45 credit hours by spring term, 2004 and who plan to enroll full
time. Must be current residents of Clackamas County. Must have and
maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
James Streeter Memorial Scholarship
- All Majors, Transfer Degree Programs, 3.0 GPA
- Tuition and/or fee/book assistance (up to amount awarded) scholarship. Maybe renewed for second year if 3.0 GPA is maintained.
- Requirements: Open to transfer degree attending or wanting
to attend CCC. Current students must have a 3.0 GPA, provide a minimum
of three letters of recommendation, two of which must be in academic field,
and include an essay of no more than 100 words demonstrating the candidate’s
potential for contribution to the community with a commitment to social conscience
and the promotion of learning. Students returning to school after a long
absence, with no academic references available, must provide four letters
of recommendation, at least two from the professional arena.

justice system. Specific preference shall go to those interested in being
lawyers, judges, prosecutors or police officers. Must plan to enroll

must be from a professional in a related profession. Financial need will

Drafting Technology Scholarship

for and maintain at least six credit hours. Must have and maintain a

Landauer Family Scholarship

- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
full time. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Include
two letters of recommendation, one from a CCC Science faculty member and one
from a CCC Mathematics faculty member, and include a handwritten paper (maximum
2 pages) on Engineering Leadership.

should be used for students applying to the Drafting Technology Program.

Geraldine Harringtom Scholarship

The Wallwork Family Endowed Scholarship
- Nursing Majors, Clackamas County Residents, 3.0 GPA, Community Service
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: First-year or second-year nursing students
who plan to enroll full time. Must be current residents of Clackamas
County. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Students must
demonstrate past or current commitment to community service. Financial
need will be considered.
Willamette Falls Hospital Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship
- Nursing Majors, 3.0 GPA
- Two full tuition scholarship
- Requirements: First-year or second-year nursing students
who plan to enroll full time. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0
GPA. One of the letters of recommendation submitted must be from a professional
in the medical field. Financial need will be considered.
Roger Sabo Memorial Scholarship
- Physics (with Calculus), Returning Students, 3.0 GPA

- Requirements: Returning CCC students enrolled in Physics
(with Calculus class) and who plan to enroll full time. Must have and maintain
a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
Al Pfahl Transfer Scholarship
- Transferring from Clackamas Community College, High School Graduate
from Clackamas County
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: Must be graduating from CCC and be a high
school graduate from CCC’s district. Must be majoring in education or
a vocational area: i.e. agriculture, industrial technology or business administration.
Must attach a copy of completed “Petition for Graduation” form
(from the Registrar’s Office).
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
- Transferring from Clackamas Community College, 3.0 GPA, Extracurricular
activities
- Tuition assistance scholarship
- Requirements: Must be graduating from CCC with a minimum
cumulative 3.0 GPA and have an outstanding record of community service while
a student at CCC. Must have attended CCC a minimum of three consecutive terms
(summer off is okay) at time of application. One of the letters of recommendation
submitted must be from a faculty advisor or an official of an organization
that can support activities. Students must attach a copy of completed “Petition
for Graduation” form (from the Registrar’s Office).
Clackamas Rotary Transfer Scholarship
- Transferring from Clackamas Community College

- Requirements: Must be graduating from CCC and be
a high school graduate from CCC’s district. Must submit a copy
of completed “Petition for Graduation” form (from the Registrar’s
Office).
The Niemeyer Scholarship

Majors, 2.5 GPA
- Six @ $2,500 each and 15 @ $1,000
- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
full time. Must have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA. Must have potential
to successfully complete the program.
Water Technology Intel Scholarship

- $500 each and maybe renewed if scholarship criteria is maintained
- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to
enroll full time. Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

- Requirements: New or returning students who plan to enroll
for and maintain at least six credit hours. Must have potential to successfully
complete the program.
These are projected available scholarships
for the 2006-2007 academic year. Funds will be available for use starting Fall
term 2006.
