KATE GRAY
English Department Chair

In Portland for 25 years, Kate Gray has finally discovered the Arts & Crafts movement. Her first full-length book of poems, Another Sunset We Survive came out in 2007 and was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. It followed chapbooks, Bone-Knowing (2006) and Where She Goes (2000). She volunteers as a Red Cross disaster relief worker, locally on a disaster action team, and nationally as a caseworker in sheltering. In daylight, she teaches at Clackamas Community College, and in dreams, she writes linebreaks that are blind dove-tails.
