bio:

Andy Mingo is the director of six short films: Bravo America, Chronology of Water (2002 Northwest Film Festival), State of Mind, Beatings, Silence in 60 Seconds (2004 PDX Film Fest), and Aims, Oregon. His web art has included the RTMark project, www.microsoftedu.com.

He is also the author of four feature-length screenplays and two corresponding novels, The Art of Fighting, The Iconographer, Dead Mountain Echo, and East of Elko. His fiction has appeared in Black Ice, two girls review, Art:Mag, and elsewhere.

Andy co-edited Northwest Edge: Fictions of Mass Destruction, an anthology of experimental and literary fiction in October, 2003. While working as a guest editor at Fiction International, he compiled writing from within the Earth First! movement. As a journalist he covered the Warner Creek Road Occupation.
