Lynda Barry @ CCC



Critically-acclaimed cartoonist and novelist Lynda Barry will read from her recent work on Thursday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Osterman Theatre. Barry's talk will be preceded by a book signing in the Niemeyer Center at 6:30.


The visit is co-sponsored by the English Department, CCC's Cultural Arts Committee and Marylhurst University. Barry is the creator of the nationally syndicated Ernie Pook's Comeek comic strip and a regular contributor to Salon. She is the author of the novel and play The Good Times Are Killing Me, the novel Cruddy, and One Hundred Demons, a collection of 20 autobiographical comic strip stories. Just wanted to let people know what you told us in class concerning this event, Lynda is sighning books at 6:30 and this is going to be an extreamly popular event so show up early to get seating! Carl

Absolutely fantastic event, thank you so much Trista Cornelius and all the staff who made this thing happen. Lynda was awsome and it was truelly an pleasure to meet her and have her autograph her book. Please excuse the gushing but I can't thank you folks enough for Thurseday night. Carl
