Authors' Night: D'Ambrosio + McCormick
Writer Charles D’Ambrosio and filmmaker Matt McCormick will discuss their work on Wednesday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the Gregory Forum. D’Ambrosio is the author of The Point and Other Stories; Orphans, a book of essays; and The Dead Fish Museum, a collection of stories forthcoming from Knopf. His fiction appears frequently in The New Yorker and has been widely anthologized.
McCormick is a Portland-based filmmaker whose work blurs the line between documentary and the experimental. His films combine found and original sounds and images to portray contemporary culture and current issues. His films includes the documentary Towlines, American Nutria, and The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal. His award-winning work has appeared on MTV and the Sundance Channel.
