Summer accelerated EMT-Basic!
Enrollment for Summer term starts on May 15th. The demand for the Summer accelerated EMT-Basic is strong and the class will fill, so act quickly. Get the EMT-Basic Registration Checklist (download here), and pull your documentation together. Then after 5/15, come on in to get a signature and get registered!
We have CPR!
Check the schedule for CPR classes, either initial training or renewal. These are half-day courses, cost about $45, and requires that you purchase the “AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers” textbook and read it prior to class. Register through CougarTrax. Books are available in the CCC bookstore. We will be adding four (4) more dates during Summer term, so stay tuned.
Also this summer…look for the new and exciting EMT-230 Advanced Skills Integration Course (ASIC).
This is an intensive course for EMT-Basics and Intermediates that focuses on integrating your skills into an advanced life support team. Students in this course will have the opportunity to do field time in emergency care settings (hospital, ambulance, fire) to gain real-world experience while learning about advanced airway management, IV therapy, ECG’s, and all that! For more information contact Darren Olson
Our next Oregon EMT-Intermediate will start Fall term (September 2007). Also, if you are a currently certified EMT-Intermediate, CCC will be offering the “bridge” course that is required for re-certification prior to the June 2008 deadline set by the state.>
