Date Status Report
March 31, 2011

Moodlerooms would like to update you on the current status of the service outage.

Original Issue: Today, March 31, 2011, at approximately 1:30 pm EST/ 10:30 am PST, service was interrupted to all Moodlerooms development and production sites. After investigation, it was determined that anetwork interface failed on one of the NFS servers, leading to process overload on our web servers. Upon further investigation at 2 pm EST/ 11 am PST, the service outage is due to a hardware-related network issue outside of Moodlerooms control. Moodlerooms support has engaged Dell Cloud Services to correct the issue.

Status of Issue: The issue has been resolved and service has been restored to all Moodlerooms sites.

February 4, 2011

Moodlerooms, the hosting service the college uses for Moodle, reported a service outage has occurred at the network level.

Our network services appear to be down, resulting in site outage. We are working with our hosting partner, Dell, to resolve this immediately.
The outage appears to have started at 9:05AM EST.

Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

UPDATE: 9:45AM We have mobilized the Dell network team and their engineers are looking at the issue. Still appears to be network related.
UPDATE: 10:05AM EST Service has been restored. We are working with Dell to deliver a full report on this outage to our customers.

December 8, 2010 Moodlerooms, the hosting service the college uses for Moodle, reported an outage between 11:50 AM and 12:20 PM on Dec 8th. Staff is aware of the current connectivity issues. We are working to resolve this issue. Additional details are forthcoming. As of 12:30 PM, the system is up and working.
