Blackboard Enrollment
Please read this ENTIRE page carefully!
Get Started by Creating a Blackboard Account. Please print these directions and follow them exactly as they are given. You must complete every step, including clicking on the "Enroll" button! Don't skip any steps, or you won't be able to access your course.
After you have registered for class, create your Blackboard account by taking the following steps:
- Create Blackboard Account
Go to http://clackamas.blackboard.com
(this will take you to the login page for Blackboard). Click on the "Create Account" button. Fill in the required information and click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You must provide a valid email address when you create your Blackboard account. Click "OK" on the next screen.
- Locate this Course
Click on the link for the CURRENT term catalog (not the previous term) and type "HD 140" into the search box. Then click on "Go". DO NOT ENROLL IN THE PREVIOUS TERM (please)! Be sure you are Enrolling in the course for this term!
- Complete Enrollment
Click on the gray "Enroll" button to the right of the course name and then click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the next page. This will send an enrollment request to your instructor by email.
Note: Blackboard will give you a message telling you that your login request has FAILED. This is NOT ACCURATE, so ignore the message. Your enrollment request is proceeding as it should! Click on the "OK" button and relax.
After the instructor has received your enrollment request, you will receive a reply email message indicating that the instructor has enrolled you in the course. This may take a day or so (or 10 minutes if you are lucky).
- Login to Blackboard
After you receive an email message from your instructor confirming your enrollment in the course, login to Blackboard at http://clackamas.blackboard.com again. A link to your course will be provided under "Courses in Which You are Participating". A direct link to your course will also be given to you in the email from the instructor.
- Begin Your Course
Be sure you understand the assignments and when they are due. If you need advice or answers to questions, contact your instructor immediately!
