 Jessica
Buel :: Head Coach
This is Jessica's second season as the Cougar's Head Coach. In her inaugural season, she lead the Cougars to a 40-12 record and made it to the NWAACC championship game taking second place.
Jessica starred for the Cougars during the ’99-’00 seasons in centerfield, leading her teams to a combined 63-16 record, a Southern Region Championship and a 3rd and 4th place finish during the ’99 and ‘00 Northwest Athletic Associate of Community Colleges (NWAACC) tournaments. She was twice honored as a First Team Southern Division All-Star and earned NFCA NWAACC All-American in 2000. Prior to college, Farnsworth was a standout at Sprague High School in Salem where she was the Valley League Player of the Year in 1998.
Her outstanding play at CCC led to her signing at Western Oregon University for the ’01-’02 seasons. At WOU, she took her game to the next level and again garnered all-league honors. Before departing WOU, Jessica left her mark in the school’s record book by breaking the single season record for stolen bases.
Upon graduating WOU with her Communications Degree, Farnsworth was appointed the head coaching position at Central High School in Independence, OR. She coached there from the 2003 to the 2005 season and led the program to a top ten ranking her final season.
The following season she turned her skills to her alma mater at Western Oregon U. She was appointed as outfield coach and also specialized in fine-tuning the hitting skills of the team’s left-handed batters.
 Paul Fiskum
Assistant Coach
This season will be Paul’s 21st year with the Clackamas Softball Program. He spent 19 years as the head coach; In that time the Cougars have captured eight NWAACC Championships and eight league titles in the Southern Region.
Paul has been coaching at Clackamas Community College for 31 years, having previously served as an assistant coach in both Football and Men’s Basketball. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Oregon University and his Master’s Degree from Portland State University.
He is a full time instructor in the Health and Physical Education Department.
Denise Nasuta
Assistant Coach
Denise was a member of the 1991 NWAACC Championship team at CCC. Denise finished her softball career at Portland State University in 1993 and graduated with a degree in Health Education. In 1995, she began her coaching career with the Cougars. During her 9 years as assistant coach, the Cougars won 4 NWAACC titles and 4 League titles.
Her main focus will be working with the pitchers and catchers. Other duties include working with the defense, compiling stats. She also teaches PE classes at CCC. Her husband Louie, plays Men’s Fastpitch and volunteer’s his time working with the team defense and at the CCC Hitting Clinic and Kid’s Camps. They have a 4 year old daughter named Sara and a new son, Derek, born in December.
 Larry Chapman
Hitting Coach
After working at the CCC Hitting Clinic for years, Larry joined the coaching staff in an official capacity in 2005. The results were immediate as the Cougars set school records in Hits and Runs and posted the second highest average in school history (.365). He brings over twenty years of ASA and eight years of High School coaching experience to our program.
 Kevin Arizo
Athletic Trainer
Kevin graduated from Pacific University 2003 with an Exercise Science major with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. Upon graduation, Kevin took on several trainer roles in the metro area. He was an assistant trainer with the Portland Timbers during the 2003-05 seasons and in 2006 he became the head athletic trainer for the club. He has also worked for North Lake Physical Therapy clinic in Lake Oswego as an athletic trainer since 2003 and and for Lake Oswego High School as the school's trainer. |
