Clackamas Community College is proud to announce the 2014 Alumni Reunion and Hall of Fame Banquet to be held on Saturday December 6, 2014.

Please join Clackamas CC as we celebrate our rich tradition of athletic achievement.  The event will be held in Randall Gymnasium on the CCC campus.  A social gathering with a No-host bar will run from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm.  From 7:00 to 9:00pm the dinner banquet and induction of the honorees will take place.

Norm Berney
[Head Wrestling Coach, Asst. Track & Field and Cross Country Coach: 1975-1988]

  • Coached CCC Wrestling Team for 14 years
  • Holds a Win/Loss record of 128-33
  • Coached 30 All-Americans (2nd Among CCC Coaches)
  • NJCAA Region 18 Coach of the Year (1987)
  • NJCAA National Coach of the Year (1987)
  • 5-Time State of Oregon Wrestling Man of the Year
  • Member of NJCAA Wrestling Hall of Fame (1992)
  • First ever Head Coach for Corban University Cross Country teams (2003) followed by Track & Field (2004)
  • Cascade College Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year (2006)
  • National Christian Colleges Association of America Coach of the Year (2003)

Jim Jackson
[Head Wrestling Coach, Director of Athletics: 1988-2009]

  • Head Wresting Coach (1989-1995)
  • Coached Eleven (11) NJCAA All-Americans
  • Coached Three (3) NJCAA National Champions  
  • Coached one USA Olympian (Matt Lindland- Silver Medalist- 2000 Olympics)
  • CCC Athletic Director (1992-2009)
  • Awarded the NWAC Dutch Triebwasser Award for outstanding athletic administrator (2000)
  • Under his leadership, 40 teams won NWAACC Championships
  • Member of the NWAACC Hall of Fame (2011)
  • Established high academic standards for CCC Athletes
  • Instrumental in establishing the women’s soccer program at CCC
  • Helped plan, develop, and build the enlarged Randall Hall Fitness Center
  • Allotted funding to help build CCC competition softball field


Tim Williams

[Wrestling: 1970-1972]

  • Member of the 1971 NJCAA National Championship Team
  • 2-time NJCAA National Champion- 142lb. Weight Class
  • 1 of only 10 athletes to receive 2 NJCAA National Championship in the same weight class
  • Accumulated a 95% win/loss percentage at CCC
  • 27 total pins during tenure at CCC
  • 2-time NJCAA Conference and Region 18 Champion (1971 & 1972)
  • Member of the NWAACC Hall of Fame as a participant of the 1971 NJCAA National Championship Team


Kelly Sullivan
[Track & Field: 1975-1977 & 1980-1984]

  • CCC Top-10 all time in 3000m Steeplechase (1977)
  • NJCAA National qualifier in both Track & Field and Cross Country both seasons of participation (1975-1977)
  • NAIA All-American in 3000m Steeplechase & Cross Country at Willamette University (1979)
  • Member of the NJCAA Hall of Fame (1986)
  • Member of the NWAACC Hall of Fame (1994)
  • CCC Head Cross Country Coach (1980-1984)
  • Won back to back OCCAA titles (1981 & 1982)
  • 2-time NJCAA National Championship teams (1981 & 1983)
  • Successful coaching stints at Auburn University (1984-1996) & Willamette University (1997-2003)
  • 24 Conference and Regional Coach of the Year honors
  • USA Track & Field Developmental Chair (1992-2004)

Becky Holliday

  • Holds Pole Vault record for CCC, NWAACC, and NJCAA- 14’4” (2001)
  • Lifetime personal best 15’1.75
  • Member of the NWAACC Champion 1600m relay team (2000)
    NWAACC medalist in 200m & 400m (2000)
  • Earned scholarship to University of Oregon following CCC (2001-2003)
  • Holds University of Oregon women’s pole vault record, 14’8” (2003)
  • 2-time NCAA All-American for both indoor and outdoor Track & Field (2002 &2003)
  • NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Champion, 14’5.5” (2003)
  • 2nd Place finish at the US Olympic Trials (2012)
  • USA Track & Field Olympian, 9th place finish (2012)
  • 4th place finish at the World Championships in Moscow (2013)

 2004 Women’s Soccer Team

  • 20-0-2 Record
  • Southern Region & NWAACC Champions (2004)
  • Compiled 17 shutouts that season in 22 total games, including 3 straight shutouts in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship games
  • Won the title game 6-0, setting the record for most goals scored in an NWAACC Championship game
  • Scored 63 goals on opponents, while only allowing 5 goals against
  • 6 players named to the NWAACC All-Star team
  • Won its first NWAACC Women’s Soccer Championship in only the 3rd season of existence at CCC

Ron ‘Red’ Hangland
CCC Supporter

  • Major supporter and contributor to CCC softball program
  • Guided two granddaughters to ‘impact player’ status for CCC softball
  • Major financial figure in the upgrading of facilities at CCC for baseball/softball
  • Financial supporter of all CCC athletics
  • Organizer, player, supporter of softball in Greater Portland area

Terri Jo Kelly
