2010 Softball Camps

Kid's Camp - Jan. 11, 25 & Feb. 1, 6:30-8:30
Cost $35 for ALL 3 sessions (Ages 6-12)

Hitting Clinic - Feb. 6 or 7,
Feb. 6 Session 1 - 9 am - 12 pm, Session 2: 1 pm - 4 pm
Feb. 7 Session 3: 9 am - 12 pm (Ages 11-18)
Cost $35 per session

Pitching Clinic - Feb. 6 and 7, 10 am - 12 pm
Cost $35 for BOTH sessions (Ages 6-12)

Catcher's Clinic - Feb. 11 and 18, 6:30 pm - 8 pm
Cost $35 for BOTH sessions (Ages 11-18)

2010 Volleyball Camps

Volleyball Clinics (Ages 10-18)
(1) Sat. May 15, 10am-noon, 1pm-3pm ($50.00)

This is a four hour session working on beginning skills of volleyball. Serving, passing, digging, hitting and team concepts will be stressed. Session is limited to 40 participants. There will be a one hour lunch break and participants should bring lunch. T-shirts will be given to all participants.

Coaches Clinic (no limit to participants)
(2) Sun. May 16, from 12 noon-4pm ($50.00)

This is a four hour session designed for volleyball coaches. Coach Kathie will go over progressions of basic skills and use her Cougar team to demonstrate a variety of drills. Philosophy will also be covered, as well as team building ideas, establishing roles and goal setting. The session will be 1 hr. in the classroom and 3 hrs. with demonstrations on the court. There will also be time for questions and answers.

ALL AUGUST CAMPS ARE FULL

Team Camps FULL (Grades 9-12) * Limited to four teams
(3) Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, August 4-6, from 2-5pm or from 6-9pm.
Cost is $1,100 per team (up to 14 athletes per team)

A nine-hour, three-day camp working with specific high school level teams. Teamwork, fundamental skills, offensive and defensive systems, communication and role identification will be emphasized. This camp will only accommodate 4 complete teams. Teams are units with 10-14 athletes each. Each participant will receive a T-shirt. Include all names, t-shirt sizes, and school mascot/colors on single team registration form (as attachment). A parent/legal guardian signature on the form below is required for each participant.

Skills Camp FULL (Grades 9-12)
(4) Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, August 4-6 ($80.00) from 9am-noon
A three day camp working to improve play on passing, setting, digging, hitting, blocking, serving, defensive tactics, offensive systems and play sets, conditioning and plyometrics. Each participant will receive a T-shirt. Limited to 40 participants.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL CLINICS/CAMPS:
All participants (excluding Coaches Clinic) receive a T-shirt…Bring water bottle and wear sports attire (shoes, knee pads). All clinics/camps are given by Head Coach Kathie Woods, her staff and team, and located in Randall Hall (Gym). THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS and space is reserved only with payment.

About Coach Woods :
This is Kathie’s 27th year at the helm of the Cougar volleyball program. Under Kathie’s direction, the program has become a perennial contender compiling a 521-219 record since 1995, a 70 percent winning average. Being at the top of the league is something Cougar teams and fans have grown accustomed to.

The Cougars have brought home six Southern Region titles and have appeared in three of the last six NWAACC championship matches earning two NWAACC Championships in 1996 and 2004.

2010 Soccer Camps

Come and experience a fun and challenging soccer camp at one of the best soccer programs in the Northwest.
The Cougar soccer team has established themselves as one of the premier junior college teams in the country, winning Northwest championships in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

About Coach Nelson
Head coach Tracy Nelson has been named NWAACC Southern Region Coach of the year in 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2008 as well as NWAACC Coach of the Year in 2004, 2005 and 2007.

Tracy is a former University of Portland (1991-1995) standout and former Youth National Team member (1990-1992). She also played professional soccer in Sweden and England.

Your child will be getting top-notch coaching and valuable tools for player development. Tracy currently holds a USSF National ‘A’ coaching license.

JULY CAMPS-----------------------------------

Middle School Camp - ages 9-12.
July 26th - 29th, 8 am - 12 pm, $100 per player

Youth Goal Keeper Camp ages 9-12
July 26th - 29th, 8 am - 12 pm, $100 per player

AUGUST CAMPS & CLINICS---------------

High School Camp - Ages 14-18
August 2nd - 5th, 9 am - 12 noon, $75 per player

Conditioning Camp - Ages 14-18
August 2nd - 5th, 1 pm - 3 pm, $50 per player (or $100 if taking both HS Camp & Conditioning Camp)

Goal Keeper Camp ages 14-18
August 2nd - 5th 9 am - 12 noon $100 per player

Team Camp - ages 9-18
8 hours of instruction (spread over 2 or 4 days). Minimum of 10 players. $60 per player - Please contact coach Nelson at 503-594-3274 to make arrangements for this camp.
