2014 Volleyball Camps

2014 Volleyball Camps are now filled.
We can not accept any new registrations.

Team Camps (Grades 9-12) * Limited to four teams
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
August 5 - 7, from 2-5pm or from 6-9pm (first two teams to sign up will be placed in the 2-5pm slot)

Cost is $1,200 per team (up to 14 athletes per team)

A nine-hour, three-day camp working with specific high school level teams. Teamwork, fundamental skills, offensive and defensive systems, communication and role identification will be emphasized. This camp will only accommodate 4 complete teams. Teams are units with 10-14 athletes each. First 4 full team payments submitted reserves the space. *see above note for times.

A parent/legal guardian signature will be required with registration.

Team Camp registration needs to be submitted by the teams head coach, please contact your coach to register.


Skills Camp (Grades 7-12)
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
August 5 - 7, from 9am-12 noon

$90.00 per player

A three day camp working to improve play on passing, setting, digging, hitting, blocking, serving, defensive tactics, offensive systems and play sets, conditioning and plyometrics. Limited to 40 participants.

A parent/legal guardian signature will be required with registration.


GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL CLINICS/CAMPS:
All participants receive a T-shirt… Please bring a water bottle and wear sports attire (shoes, knee pads). All clinics/camps are given by Head Coach Kathie Woods, her staff and team. Location is Randall Hall Gymnasium on the campus of CCC [map].

Refunds are available with a seven day notice,
less a $20 handling fee.

About Coach Woods
Head coach Kathie Woods has been coaching for 33 years (31 at CCC) and has built a rich tradition of volleyball success at Clackamas. She has compiled nearly 800 collegiate victories and her teams have won over 60% of their matches over that 31 year span.

Kathie has been named NWAACC Southern Region Coach of the Year in 1995, 1996, 2002 and 2004 as well as NWAACC Coach of the Year in 1995, 1996 and 2004. She was also honored by the Portland Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as College Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2009 for the Portland metropolitan area.

Coach Woods and her staff will ensure your child receives top-notch coaching and valuable tools for player development.

2014 Softball Camps & Clinics

Girls Softball Camps
Ages: Girls 6-12 (grouped by age)
Monday evenings
Jan. 13, Jan. 27 & Feb. 3
6:30–8:30 p.m.
Cost: $40

The camps will be conducted at the same time but girls will be grouped together by age and skill level. Each session will consist of one hour of hitting, bunting, and slapping and one hour of defensive skills and drills. The camps will be conducted by the CCC Women’s Softball Team.

22nd Annual Hitting Clinic
Ages 7-18 (grouped by age)
Session I: Feb. 1, 9am - 11am
Session II: Feb. 1, 12pm - 2pm
Cost $40 per session

(This camp fills early, no refunds will be made after Monday, Jan. 18)
Instruction in the fundamentals of bunting, slapping and hitting for girls 7-18. Sign up for a desired time. We will call or email you if your preferred sessions is full. Conducted by the Clackamas Community College Women’s Softball coaching staff and local high school and ASA coaches.

Pitching & Catching Clinic
4 week session
Sunday evenings
Jan. 12, 19, 26, & Feb. 2
6:30-8 p.m.
Cost: $100
Ages: 7-13

CCC pitching coach, Emily Smith, will give instruction on the fundamentals of pitching. This clinic will help girls ages 8-13 to learn and develop the pitching motion through instruction and hands-on teaching. The CCC softball pitchers will assist each pitcher with individual feedback. To ensure a small pitcher-to-coach ratio, this clinic is limited to number of pitchers, so enroll early.

2014 Wrestling Camp

Wrestling Camp - June 24-27, 2013Clackamas CC, the 2011 NJCAA National Wrestling Champions,  will host the annual “Train to be a Champion” wrestling camp from June 23-26, 2014 8:30 am-3:00 pm.

All camp sessions will focus on collegiate/folk style wrestling with emphasis on mat wrestling and takedowns. Additionally, this camp will focus on being an ambassador for the sport of wrestling through our sessions focusing on Citizenship, Leadership, and Decision Making.

This is highlighted by our closing session with former Clackamas wrestler Richard Jensen whose inspirational story will help highlight the importance of each of these topics.

This camp features 2000 Olympic Silver Medalist Matt Lindland , 3x National Champ and University World Bronze Medalist Tyrell Fortune, current NJCAA National Champ Adrian Salas and Emmy Award Winner and Motivational Speaker Richard Jensen

The camp is under direction of 8th year head coach Josh Rhoden.

Clackamas Wrestling Camp is a commuter camp for wrestlers who would like to take the opportunity to expand their wrestling knowledge and train to become champions! Under the guidance of camp director Josh Rhoden, this camp features the very best in Clackamas Community College’s wrestlers. Current and former Cougar wrestlers will help encourage and develop young wrestlers as
camp counselors and clinicians.

All camp sessions will focus on collegiate/folk style wrestling with
emphasis on mat wrestling and takedowns. Additionally, this camp
will focus on being an ambassador for the sport of wrestling through

2014 Soccer Camps

Come and experience a fun and challenging soccer camp at one of the best soccer programs in the Northwest.

The Cougar soccer team has established themselves as one of the premier junior college teams in the country, winning Northwest championships in 2004, 2005 and 2007 and region championships in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013.

About Coach Szpara
Head coach Janine Szpara has been named NWAACC Southern Region Coach of the Year in each of her three seasons at Clackamas. A former Colorado College (1986-1990) standout and former US National Team member (1986-1991) as well as a professional player in Japan and United States (WUSA San Jose Cyberrays 2001-02), your child will be getting top-notch coaching and valuable tools for player development. Janine currently holds a USSF National ‘A’ coaching  license and is an Oregon ODP coach.
