Under the guidance of third-year coach Josh Rhoden, the program has produced nine wrestling All-Americans over the past two seasons and eleven academic All-Americans. This past season sophomore John Bates became Clackamas' first national finalist since the 1997 campaign.
Our graduates have gone on to compete at all levels of wrestling from NCAA Division I to international competition, including the Olympic games!
During the 2000 Olympics, former Cougar and five-time national champion Matt "The Law" Lindland captured a silver medal in the Sidney Games. Another alumnus, Glenn Garrison, the 1997 NJCAA National Champion for Clackamas, became the USA Senior Greco-Roman 145lbs. Champion in 2007.

Cougar wrestlers are bound by a tradition of excellence and hard work. It is this commitment that has allowed us to continue to be a constant threat at the national tournament. We begin team building early through group activities and planned team outings. The commitment built through the team activities transforms the sport of wrestling into a team sport.
Academic Success
Cougar Wrestling is not only about success on the mat, but also in the classroom. Academic performance is high on Coach Rhoden's priorities. Rhoden's squads earned five academic All-Americans in 2006-07 and another six this season. The 2005-06 Clackamas Wrestling Team was the top academic junior college wrestling squad in country, earning All-Academic Team honors by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
