RECORD SIX COUGARS EARN ALL-AMERICAN!

Rochester, MN. - Six Cougars - 125-Brian Jacob (Tillamook HS), 141-Derick Bartlemay (Sprague HS), 149-Sam Schmitz (Newberg HS), 157-Seth Roy (Sherwood HS), 165-Alex Bubb (Skyview HS, WA) and 285-John Bates (Oregon City HS) have all earned All-American honors.
Schmitz and Bates won 3rd place trophys, Bub placed 6th, Bartlemay 7th with Jacob and Roy placing 8th overall.
The Cougars also won a team trophy as the tournament's fifth place NJCAA DIV I team. This is the first trophy for the Cougars in 18 years and the first for Head Coach Josh Rhoden in his inaugural season with the Cougar Wrestling Program. "It was an incredible experience for us and one that we won't soon forget", said Rhoden.
This is a hallmark tournament for the Cougs as this is the first time in Clackamas CC history that six wrestlers took home All-American honors. The past record of five All-Americans were held by the 1971 and 1989 teams. Complete brackets can be viewed at the tournament Web site
