Jessica FarnsworthJessica Buel :: Head Coach

This will be Jessica's 3rd year at the helm for Clackamas. Her overall coaching record at CCC is 66-35 leading the Cougars to a 2nd Place (2007) and a 5th place (2008) at the NWAACC tournament.

She starred for the Cougars during the '99-'00 seasons in centerfield, helping her teams to a combined 63-16 record, a Southern Region Championship, and a 3rd and 4th place finish during the '99 and '00 NWAACC tournaments.

She was twice honored as a First Team Southern Region All-Star and earned NFCA NWAACC All-American in 2000. Prior to college, she was a standout at Sprague High School in Salem where she was the Valley League Player of the Year in 1998. Her outstanding play at CCC led her signing at Western Oregon University for the '01-'02 seasons.

At WOU, she earned All-league honors and also broke the school's single season record for stolen bases. After graduating WOU with her communications degree, Jessica was the head coach at Central High School in Independence, OR. She coached there from 2003-2005 and led the program to a top ten ranking her final season. The following season she turned her skills to her alma mater at WOU, where she was appointed as outfield coach and also specialized in fine-tuning the hitting skills of the team's left-handed slappers.

Jessica earned a Master's Degree in Health Education from WOU and currently teaches Health & PE classes at CCC. She married Kacy Buel in 2007.

Denise Nasuta - Assistant Coach

This season will be Denise's 11th season as an assistant for the Cougars. Her primary job is to coach the pitchers and catchers. She also works with the infield and is responsible for the media guide and game management.

Denise was an all-league utiltiy player on CCC's 1991 NWAACC Championship Softball team that finished 37-3 that season.

She finished her softball career at PSU and graduated with a degree in Health Education.

Her coaching career began in 1995 under then Head coach Paul Fiskum. After some time off to start family from 2001-2004 Denise returned to the program in 2005 and helped the Cougars win an 8th NWAACC title.

Off the field Denise works part-time as an administrative assistant. Her husband Louie, a former men's fastpitch softball player does all of the team's statistics and helps out at the CCC hitting clinics. They have 2 children, Sara who is 7 and Derek who is 3.

Dustin BareDustin Bare
Assistant Coach

Dustin will be helping out the Cougs this year working with the hitters. He is a welcomed addition to the coaching staff.

He played for Columbia Basin CC from '98-'99 as a starting pitcher. He then went on to pitch for Pacific University during the '00-'01 seasons and graduated with a degree in Marketing.

Currently, Dustin works as a retail sales manager and is pursuing his master's degree in Education.

 

Kevin ArizoKevin Arizo
Athletic Trainer

Kevin graduated from Pacific University 2003 with an Exercise Science major with an emphasis in Sports Medicine.

Upon graduation, Kevin took on several trainer roles in the metro area.  He was an assistant trainer with the Portland Timbers during the 2003-05 seasons and in 2006 he became the head athletic trainer for the club. He has also worked for North Lake Physical Therapy clinic in Lake Oswego as an athletic trainer since 2003 and and for Lake Oswego High School as the school's trainer.
