Coach WegnerClif Wegner :: Head Coach

  • Currently in his tenth season at Clackamas, eleventh season as an NWAACC head coach
  • 2007 NWAACC Coach of the Year
  • 2001, 2003 & 2007 Southern Division Coach of the Year
  • Seventeen years as a high school coach
  • Head coach at Oregon City High School (boys) for nine seasons
  • Has served as Oregon ICE (Interscholastic Coaches Elite) Commissioner for the state since1990
  • Twelve years as chair for Oregon Athletic Coaches Association Boys Basketball
  • Teaches English full time at Oregon City High School

Coach Wegner lives in Oregon City with his wife Ruth, a real estate broker at Windemere Realty Partners Inc. Wegner's teams at Clackamas were champions of the Southern Division in both 2001 and 2003 & 2007. His 2001, 2002 & 2007 teams achieved #1 rankings in the NWAACC. He was honored by his peers by being selected as the Southern Division Coach of the Year in both 2001, 2003 & 2007. His last six teams have averaged 24 wins per season and have placed 3rd twice, 5th, 6th, and 7th twice at the NWAACC Tournament including a NWAACC Championship in 2007. In all, coach Wegner has 32 years of professional coaching experience. With a collegiate record of 228 wins against only 79 losses, his winning percentage of 74% is one of the best of any college coach in the Northwest.

 

Coach WordenJim Worden :: Associate Head Coach

  • 9th season at Clackamas Community College
  • 40th season of professional coaching
  • Former high school head coach at Oregon City High School
  • Has coached together with Coach Wegner for 20 seasons
  • Specializes in post play and rebounding

Currently, Coach Worden is self-employed as an independent technology consultant. He spent 30 years as a public high school teacher for history and
computer education. Worden lives in Oregon City, is married to wife, Kathy, and father of two grown sons, Craig, a dental lab supervisor and Scott, a marketing
agent for the NBA Phoenix Suns. He also has three grandchildren.

 

Steve Gustovich

Steve Gustovich :: Assistant Coach

  • 3rd season at Clackamas Community College
  • 27th season of professional coaching
  • Director of Clackamas Cage Camps and Competive Edge Basketball Academy
  • Former head coach at Clackamas High School: 212 wins, 9 state tournament appearances, TRL coach of the year twice



 

Kevin ArizoKevin Arizo :: Trainer

Kevin graduated from Pacific University 2003 with an Exercise Science major with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. Upon graduation, Kevin took on several trainer roles in the metro area.  He was an assistant trainer with the Portland Timbers during the 2003-05 seasons and in 2006 he became the head athletic trainer for the club. He has also worked for North Lake Physical Therapy clinic in Lake Oswego as an athletic trainer since 2003 and and for Lake Oswego High School as the school's trainer.
