Facility Upgrades
We are moving forward in our plan to improve our facility. We have completed the new batting cages that we have needed for so long. The facility looks better than ever, come see us play on it. Our new weight room , training room, and other newly remodeled facilities are top level.
Outlook
The 2009 Cougars boost good front line guys, and depth. Our pitching staff is deeper and have bigger arms. We will hit, and bunt well as always, and the defense is looking solid.
As always, the baseball group is one of the highest academic groups at CCC and in the NWAACC.
Cougar Baseball is known for the three consistencies:
Academic Success . Our players do well in the classrooms. We have a high number of players that receive their AAOT degree.- Grooming athletes. Most of our players achieve their educational pursuits while attending Clackamas and move on to 4yr schools - many will continue to play baseball & some will do it on scholarship. We consider CCC as a great stepping stone to opportunities at the next level.
- Catchers in our program have had GREAT success. Clackamas is well known for the all-league/all-NWAACC catchers it has produced. Catchers that have moved on and up in recent years include: J. Hubbard AAA pros; A. Ortmayer AA pros; Steve Geisler Western Oregon U. ; and most recently, Mike McNally who achieved all-region honors in 2005, Ben Janal in 2006 & 2007 and Brenden Landwehr in 2009.
