WELCOME

In keeping with the college mission, the Art Department offers a program and environment conducive to creative learning. Instruction encourages problem solving, technical skills, critical thinking and art appreciation.

Through Art Department courses, students should develop an appreciation for art and culture, skills in critical and self analysis and the ability to articulate artistic concepts. Student should also gain skills in use of tools and art materials. Our courses examine historical and contemporary art issues. Many of our students develop portfolios for applying to 4-year art programs.
