If you're Latino and feel lost here at CCC, or not, read on. There is an office on our campus that can help you figure out a few things. We're called Latino Student Services and we can help you out with a few things, or just be a place for you to visit. So this is how we work..... Academic/Educational Services - This is our priority! · Academic advising - if you don't know what classes you should take this or next term, or even the one after that...visit the office. · Educational plan development - if you need to figure out which classes, how many of them, and how long it will take to graduate...visit the office so we can help you finish what you have so graciously started. · College Success preparation/training - can't make heads or tails of the college "thing?" Or can't figure out how to pay for it? There is a class available to help you be successful HD-120 College Success. Be sure to enroll in the section designed for Latino students or visit our friendly home in the Counseling Department. · Leadership Development - it all starts with knowing who you REALLY are! Take a class HD190-Latino Leadership to learn more about Latino cultures and to become a mentor with the Oregon Leadership Program we have to pass on the leadership torch somehow! Come see us to get registered for the class. · Transfer contacts and information - we know some people out in the bigger world. If you want to transfer, come see us and we might have someone to help you out when you get there. |
