Disability Resource Center

Eligibility for Services

All students who wish to use the resources of the Disability Resource Center must register with the DRC Coordinator and provide documentation to support their request.

New CCC Students

New students at Clackamas must do the following to receive services:

  1. Fill out an "Application request for support services" form. These are available in the Student Success Center in the Community Center building.
  2. Gather documents that establish the existence of a disability.
  3. Make an appointment to see the Disability Coordinator. This can be done directly by calling the office of the Disability Coordinator.
Continuing CCC Students

Continuing students at Clackamas that have already registered with the Disability Resource Center should attend all of their classes once and then see the DRC Coordinator to arrange for accommodation as needed. If you have not previously registered with DRC follow the instructions for new students.

Required Documentation

Documentation can be a letter or report from an appropriate professional that states the disability and functional limitations.

Documentation of Disability

Who needs documentation of a disability?

Any CCC student who wants to receive accommodations must provide clear evidence of a disability.

What is documentation?

Documentation is information about the disability provided by a doctor or professional trained in the specific area of disability.

Where is the documentation kept?

Documentation is kept in a separate confidential file and will not be part of the student's academic record.
