ADA - Americans with Disabilities Act

What is the law?

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the is the civil rights guarantee for persons with disabilities in the United States. It provides protection from discrimination for individuals on the basis of disability. In January 2009 the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 went into effect making changes in the way the ADA was interpreted in the past, in many cases broadening the definition of disability.
